On the spectacular South East Coast of Tasmania, The Tasman Peninsula is home to some of the most famous sea stacks in the world including the Tasmanian Totem Pole.

Tasmanian Totem Pole | Rock Climbing Tasmania

The Totem Pole

The Tasmanian Totem Pole is the most famous Pillar in Tasmania and is a serious undertaking. This tour will usually incorporate a prior day on the Organ Pipes on Mt Wellington in order for our guide to guage your climbing level and cover some important techniques required to climb this iconic feature. For the Totem Pole we use a 2:1 ratio to maximise your success and provide logistical support.

Experience required: multi pitch climbing experience required. Confident seconding 23/24 outdoors.

COST: $2250 (1 climber, 2 guides) $1250 pp (2 Climbers, 2 guides)

Mount Brown

Multi-pitch routes that take you high above a raging ocean.

Routes are available from grades 19-24 with outdoor climbing experience required including rappelling. Minimum ability seconding 17/18 outdoors. Ratio 1:2 for The Offerings (19), 1:1 for all other routes.

Cape Raoul | Rock Climbing Tasmania

Cape Raoul

The best day of adventure climbing in Australia and the largest objective offered by us. It involves a long approach and the feeling and complexity of an alpine ridge above the sea. Thrown into this is one of the best grade 22’s on the planet taking you to the top of an incredible pinnacle.

This trip requires sleeping at the Tasman Peninsula the night prior to climbing. 

Experience required: significant multi pitch climbing experience required, high level of general fitness, confident seconding grade 21 outdoors. 

For the Cape Raoul we use a 2:1 ratio to maximise your success and provide logistical support.

The Moai

The Moai offers more moderate climbing options with grades starting at 18 and involves an adventurous approach.  

The Paradiso area near Mt Brown is another great venue with single pitch sport climbs along with some shorter trad routes at the Parrot Shelf.
